ROEBLING: THE STORY OF THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE
Stage Drama
Historic Drama; 97 pages; Cast: 12 M, 3 F

The Vision That Would Change The World
Would First Challenge A Family

John Roebling sets out to build the most ambitious engineering project of the Industrial Revolution—The Brooklyn Bridge. But the project is beset with set-backs and tragedies that leave the Roebling family and the bridge project in crisis. Based on the true story.

Entertaining, historic and inspirational, Roebling is a great production for public performance as well as in an educational setting.

Roebling ran for a three week world premiere at Actors' NET of Bucks County (PA) in the Fall of 2009. Playing to multiple sold-out crowds, Roebling became one of the most popular and successful plays of that theater's proud 14 year history.

A second production was held in Roebling NJ in October 2010. This special presentation of Roebling was produced by the Roebling Museum in association with Pierrot Productions and Theater To Go.Performances were held at the Historic Roebling Theater built in 1915 by the Roeblings. Events included a special opening night gala to mark to the Grand Re-Opening of this historic theater.

Comments from Independent Third Parties:

"It is a wonderful production and clearly up to the standards my wife and I have come to enjoy from Actors' NET over the years." --Leonard C.

"Washington Roebling seemed to be one of the most effectively conflicted characters I've seen on stage in a long time...Bravo to the cast and to Actors' NET for uncovering this gem of a play." -- James R.
